Pleebo-Sodoken District is the economic hub of southeastern Liberia, strategically positioned as a center of commerce, employment, and development. The district hosts three major concession companies—Cavalla Rubber Corporation, Maryland Oil Palm Plantation, and Golden SIFCA Inc.—which collectively provide employment opportunities for thousands of Liberians while making significant contributions to the national economy.
According to the 2022 Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) Population and Housing Census Report, Pleebo-Sodoken District has a population of over 85,287 residents, largely dominated by young people. This vibrant youth population represents immense potential for innovation, leadership, and economic transformation.
