Requirements

The Pleebo Sodoken District Academic Excellence Scholarship is established to support outstanding students from Pleebo Sodoken District who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to community development. The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of USD $75 to successful beneficiaries throughout the approved academic period.

1. Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants shall receive:

A monthly stipend of USD $75
Academic support and mentorship opportunities
Recognition as a district scholarship beneficiary
Possible renewal based on academic performance and conduct
2. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following requirements:

Academic Requirements
Applicant must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
Applicant must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited university or tertiary institution.
Applicant must maintain satisfactory academic standing throughout the scholarship period.
Residency Requirements
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Pleebo Sodoken District, Maryland County, Liberia.
Proof of residency must be provided through:
National Identification Card,
Voter Registration Card,
Community verification letter, or
Letter from local district authorities.
Citizenship Requirements
Applicant must be a Liberian citizen.
Character and Conduct
Applicant must demonstrate:
Good moral character,
Leadership qualities,
Respect for community values, and
Commitment to educational advancement.
Financial Need (Optional but Recommended)
Preference may be given to applicants from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate inability to fully support their education.

6. Termination of Scholarship

The scholarship may be suspended or terminated if the beneficiary:
